How To Register Your Account With The Hive

If you're having some difficulties in registering with The Hive or you're not quite sure how to go about it, this page should help.

Just follow the instructions and it should all work out fine, but just in case you still can't get access, send us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can - the details are at the bottom of this page.

Step 1: Getting Started

Your first step is to make your way to the right page:

When you get there, the page should look like this:

Now scroll down until you can see the 'Get Started' buttons:

Go ahead and choose your plan.

There is a FREE plan that will allow you to preview all of the content in The Hive. When you're ready you can upgrade to one of our Premium plans.

Step 2: Enter Your Details

Once you've selected your plan, you will be redirected to the Checkout page:

Now scroll down and fill in your details:

Then scroll down some more, accept our privacy policy and then click the PayPal button:

Step 3: Enter Your Payment Details

If you've chosen the Free plan, there won't be a PayPal button, instead there will be a 'Submit And Confirm' button. Either way, there is only one button - once you've completed all your details go ahead and click it!

If you've chosen the Free plan your free subscription will be confirmed on the next page (see Step 4) and you can safely skip Step 3 of this guide.

On the other hand, if you've chosen one of our awesome Premium plans you'll need to add in your payment details. Once you've clicked the PayPal button from the previous step, you will be redirected to the PayPal website, where you should see this:

At this stage you can either pay with PayPal or choose to pay by debit or credit card. In either case your payment will go through PayPal (you don't need a PayPal account when paying by card).

Follow PayPal's instructions to complete your subscription.

Step 4: Confirmation of Your Subscription

When completed you will be automatically redirected back to our site, where you should see a confirmation of your chosen membership level and subscription:

You have successfully subscribed to The Hive - feel free to check out the details of your plan. It should look a little like this:

Step 5: Log In To The Hive

You can now log in to The Hive. You can do this by clicking on the big oval 'Login' button in the top right of the navigation bar - you should be able to find this on any page of our website, like this:

When you click this button, you should get a pop-up that looks like this:

Go ahead and enter your username and password (you did remember to take a note of these, didn't you!?!!), then click the LOGIN button.

If successful, the big oval Login button on the navigation bar should have changed to show your name and profile picture. When you hover over it, a new menu will appear to help you find your way around.

Enjoy The Hive!

You should now be logged in - go ahead and browse to the course you're looking for (hint: use the entry 'The Hive' in the navigation bar, next to the big oval button, to help you), and enjoy the courses!

If you're still having difficulties subscribing after following these instructions, here are a few things that you can try that might just make all the difference:

  • Use a Windows PC - in theory, the registration process should go smoothly on other devices, but we highly recommend a Windows PC, as this is what we develop and test on
  • Use Firefox - The Hive has been tested extensively using the Firefox web browser, and although it should work fine in other browsers, we cannot guarantee that it will work with all other browsers in all circumstances
  • Clear your browser's cache - sometimes your browser will grab your cache's contents (which might be out of date) rather than the latest content, in which case hitting ctrl-F5 to clear the cache and refresh the page will often do the trick
